From a child,
Susan was known for her artistic talents and her love for animals. At the age of 8 she drew a portrait of an Indigenous Chief from the top of her head. Her parents were so proud that they sent it out to the newspaper, never to be heard of again.
Interested in the world of the psyche and arts, Susan went on to study Psychology and Arts. She combined both for many years until she decided to quit her job and go on a long sabbatical in nature. When she returned after two years, she returned as a new person.

Currently,
Susan works in her studio in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Every working day feels like a party to her, she loves to dance and drink coffee while painting. She has recently finished the “Lovers in Paradise” series and is already working on the next collection.
In the future, Susan plans to buy a farm and convert it into a sanctuary for animals and people. She intends to create a safe haven for all living beings, in harmony with nature.
The Painting Process
is free flowing, fun and intuitive.
In the beginning phase, Susan lets inks and acrylics to flow freely, capturing a certain energy on the canvas. After that, she reflects on the pattern and paints subjects on top. In this way, every painting represents a meeting between the spiritual and material, the seen and unseen. Crafty as she is, Susan builds all her canvasses herself, using FSC wood and unbleached cotton. Also, she is very picky in her art materials, making sure they’re as vegan and eco-friendly as possible.
