Sitting Bull Portrait

This is a portrait of Sitting Bull. He was the last Sioux chief in the United States. He was known as a brave warrior, a loving father, and one who always cared about others. He also had a prophetic gift and foretold his own death by one of his own people, a Lakota Indian. I painted him against the background of a fading urban landscape, a fading statue of liberty. What is freedom when it’s rooted in inequality?

I see a bright future ahead. True wisdom, love and courage will prevail and wipe out capitalism. A new world order will be established. One that is deeply rooted in true humanity, compassion, equality and harmony.

This painting is for sale. 25% of it’s profit will be donated tot Amnesty International.
